The story of The Alberni Project and the HMCS ALBERNI Museum and Memorial is an interesting story of its own.

A Remembrance Program and Museum operated by
The Alberni Project Society which focuses attention on the lives and stories of Canadians who served with Canada's military from the Great War of 1914 - 1918 to the present day.
The Canadian Flower Class corvette and the German Type VII submarine crossed paths in the English Channel in 1944.
