Lewis Bartholomew is a native of Jackson Wyoming, where he was the birth son of Korean War Army veteran and, later, the adopted son of a WWII USN Veteran.
Lewis has taught high school dramatics, adult education classes and has been active for years with various civic organizations in Wyoming and Washington State.
Lewis' background include artistic director of P'SHAW - a theater education project for Port Angeles/Sequim High School Students, professional lighting designer for theatre and commercial use, technical special effects director for PALOA/OTA/PAP theater companies, professional designer for exhibits used in fairs and public areas for a variety of businesses and non-profit organizations, lead educator for Clallam and Jefferson County Departments of Public Health for AIDS/STDs education in the public schools as well as work place safety regarding HIV, CPR and OSHA.
He was awarded the 1992 Citizen of the Year award and a Washington State recognition award for his work with the communities on the Olympic Peninsula
in Washington State.
Educated at the University of Wyoming and various other institutions he comes to this project with an extensive background in theater arts, management of large volunteer organizations, fund raising and a passion for conservation and preserving historical artifacts of all kinds. Besides his work with THE DOMINION HISTORY PROJECT of which he is the public information coordinator and Canadian Citizenship Class instructor, he is also volunteers full time in preserving the lives and times of the men of HMCS ALBERNI with the ALBERNI PROJECT.
He has recently become a citizen of Canada and currently owns a multi media business and Bed and Breakfast in Courtenay, BC with his partner of 10 years.
